TOMCO2 Systems’ Pathogen Management (PM) system generates hypochlorous acid by utilizing our highly efficient Pressurized Solution Feed (PSF) System to control pH in the chlorinated solution. Hypochlorous acid is generated on-site by combining carbonic acid with a chlorinated solution.
This reaction within the Pathogen Management System, because of the pH control, converts the hypochlorite into hypochlorous acid. At the pH 6.0, the chemical reaction forms 98% Hypochlorous Acid.
Once the chemical reaction is complete, Hypochlorous Acid can be distributed to the water source, production or processing area. This highly-effective, chlorine-based, anti-microbial agent will reduce pathogens in water or on food products. Available sizes range from 1 pound (0.45kg) to 1,000 pounds (453.6 kg) of CL2.
