Position Title:                            Food and Beverage Sales Representative

Office Location:                      United States

Reports To:                               VP of Sales & Market Strategy

Job Summary: The Food and Beverage Sales Representative will be responsible for all aspects of sales coverage of Tomco products for food and beverage customers.  Building and maintaining relationships.  Tomco has over 50 years servicing this market segment with strong relationships and product portfolio.  Successful candidates with have industry experience, understanding of CO2 and atmospheric cryogenic gas equipment, and proven track record of sales growth in previous roles.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Focus on cold-calling frozen food producers, large/ midsize breweries, as well as carbonated beverage producers.
  • Responsible for all food producers, brewery and beverage in the US
  • Generate good leads that the salesforce can assist with taking the status to closed.
  • Develop a prospect list with contact and work on qualifying the customer.
    • Go through the existing contact list to map out call on the phone and in person.
  • Explore all equipment with each customer from tank to use point with an emphasis on growing our filter line.
  • Grow CO2 filtration market and brewery market.
  • Develop assigned territory via prospecting, cold calling, qualifying leads, following up on referrals, setting up appointments and making sales presentations, etc.
  • Coordinate projects amongst engineering & costing teams.
  • Review proposals and final costing.
  • Negotiate contracts.
  • Track & report all major industrial projects.
  • Monitor key client & industry actions.
  • Monitor competitor activities and complete corresponding business plans.

 

Qualifications:

  • Professional level knowledge of principles and practices involved in new business development, product marketing and sales, including experience developing territory business plans.
  • Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills.
  • Territory management practices must be exceptional.
  • Experience selling to all levels of management.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • 1-2 years sales experience
  • Experience in Food, Beverage and Industrial gas space is a plus.
